Random Act of Kindness!

Random Act of Kindness/Pay it forward.
Wikipedia defines a random act of kindness as :
a selfless act performed by a person or people wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual person or people.

Today I was a recipient of such a kind deed for the first time ever...and let me tell you it brought tears to my eyes!  Someone whom I've never met sent me something that I happened to mention that I needed on a facebook group that I belong to.  She has never met me or even had an online chat with me...but she had the sweetness in her heart to send to me something out of a random act of kindness.  Now I find the need to pay forward this random act of kindness!.  If you have never seen the movie Pay it Forward...I suggest you do so soon!  I saw this movie many years ago and it is very powerful!  In the movie, when you pay it forward it was to 3 different people.  This is what I intend to do! If you leave a comment on this blog post I will randomly select 3 comments to receive a RAK (random act of kindness) from me!  In return all I ask is that you do the same...even if it is just once! Let's see if we can keep this going!

The item I happened to mention needing in this facebook group was a stamp set for a project I was wanting to make....here is that project...and I also did another one from a file that was released just on Friday from the company I am on a design team for.  I would love to share with you these projects!

The cute little monkey box is from Treasure Box Designs Critter boxes (Valentine).   The stamps sentiments come from Jaded Blossom...Valentine Treats (which is the stamp set I received as the RAK) and Valentine Candies.  Dies are from Candy Charms and Banner .  The twine is from Trendy Twine.

I also did this 2nd project because My Scrap Chick released this adorable Monkey Box on Friday!

The adorable monkey belly box is from My Scrap Chick's  Monkey Belly Box Trio and the banana is from Fruit Vol. 1.  The sentiment is again from Jaded Blossom's Valentine Treats and the die is from Valentine Dies.  The cute little bow is made with rumple ribbon from Lovebug Creations!.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance at a RAK!!!  And a huge Thank You to Chaunnelle for the thoughtfulness you brought to me today!!!

  3. I can totally see why you have been touched so deeply. Who doesn't need a bit of kindness - both the giving and receiving of it! And your projects are super cute! I just love the bananas on both of them. It is the perfect touch with the sentiment!!! Thank you to both you and Chauntelle for bringing us all some joy!

  7. What a wonderful idea, Deb. I am a very blessed crafter, and I couldn't ask for anything. But I have a "bloggy friend" who I know doesn't have nearly as much; so if my name is selected, I would like to donate my prize to her. Her name is Carole, and she is such a sweet lady. Thanks for doing such a lovely thing. And by the way, yes, I've seen the movie and I LOVE it!

  8. What a nice thing for Chaunelle to do and so nice of you to pay it forward. If my name is selected, I'll do the same. I can think of so many ways to do RAK's - it's just a matter of taking the time to actually do it.
