New Sign Business!

Hey there crafty friends!
New year, new adventure!  I've started a sign business!
I was just dabbling a little and  selling some things in a small local country gift store.  It was slow going, so last Monday I went out on a limb and asked the owner of a local Antique store if she would consider taking in some of my items on consignment.  I sent her some pictures and expressed that I thought they would be a good fit for her store and she agreed!  I had sales within the first 2 days!  This weekend she had an open house and I brought some bigger signs and they were a hit...and so it begins.  I've also started a FB group to try and keep things easier for myself to keep track of buyers and requests. Want to join us...check us out at DMR Woodcrafts on FB and ask to join.  Would love to have you!!

Photos with Santa

Hey there crafty friends.
So for as much heartache as 2016 caused me there was actually a pretty wonderful thing that happened along the way.  I got to start spending 2 days a week with the most adorable little boy!  This little guy has brought sunshine into my life when all there ever seem to be were dark clouds looming over my head.  I am so thankful that his parents entrusted me with his care!  I love him like he's my own grandson!!!
I am featuring him today in a scrapbook layout!  WHAT??  Yes...I have actually done an actual scrapbook page!  Now my BFF Kathy is probably falling out of her chair.  I can't count how many scrapbook retreats that we have been to in the past several years and not one page has been produced by my little hands.  Mind you...I do all kinds of other paper crafts.  But when it comes to actual scrapbooking I just tend to freeze.  Not sure what the block is...but my little Noah has given me the "want" to get back into the swing of things.  First of all..he's about the most photogenic baby I have ever seen.  Seriously..he should be a baby model.  Secondly..he is usually the most happy baby in the world.  I think I could count on one hand the number of times he's actually cried when I've been with him.  So when I saw these pictures of his visit with Santa...well...those have to be remembered!
Without further ado, I present to you Mr. Noah James Dunning!! His beautiful mom Michelle is featured, too.  Her expression is priceless!

I created this layout using the Photos with Santa File from Treasure Box Design.
I've added some awesome sentiments from several Jaded Blossom Stamp sets..

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a most wonderful day!!

Happy New Year

Hello crafty friends!!
How is 2017 treating you so far?  We are in a bit of a cold snap, however, I'm not going to complain as we haven't had that much snow fall and I know lots of other folks are dealing with much more volume!!!!
I've got a really quick project today.  I've taken the New Year 2017 file from Treasure Box Design and turned it into a shaped card.

On the inside I added a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Happy New Year stamp set.

Quick and easy!!.

Under the Sea

Hey there crafty friends!  Happy New Year 2017.
I've never been so happy to see a year come to end in my life.  Well...actually I thought I felt that way this time last year....but 2016 was not a good time!!! I lost my job, lost my father in law...almost lost my mom...lets hope that 2017 brings much brighter happenings!
So far its off to a good start!  I've been accepted onto the Treasure Box Designs and Digi Box Designs design teams!!!  I'm so excited and really anxious to start spending more time in my crafting room!

Here is my first project for the team and for the year!

So I had created this project in my heads months ago....seriously...like back last summer!!!  I even bought the ingredients to make this snack mix 3 times and each time my son kept eating it all before I could even make it!!!
Wouldn't this be fun for a Finding Dory or Neemo themed birthday party?  Or even just for a family movie night?
I found the snack mix recipe here.

I used the Under the Sea and Fish files from Digi Box Designs.  The best part about these files is that you can either use them in your digital scrapbooking or you can use them as print and cut files on your cutting machines.  I have a Cameo and its easy peasy!  If you haven't checked out Digi Box Designs head over there right now as there is an awesome 70% off sale going on!!

No project would be complete without using my massive collection of Jaded Blossom products!  I used some oldies but goodies for this collection!  For the treat bags I used the Gusset bags with the Fancy Topper die.  I used sentiments from the Under the Sea stamp set and stamped them on the Flag Dies

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Stay warm!!
