Hey there my crafty friends!

I wanted to get in a quick project before I headed into a long stretch of working.  I've kind of been on a healthy eating kick lately so I thought I would try and make some kind of treat bag that I didn't have to feel so guilty about!  Never fear though, Easter is coming up so I'm sure I will be having all kinds of chocolaty goodies to share!!

I wanted the edging on my topper to better match my gusset bag holder so I used one of the candy wrap dies from Jaded Blossom to accomplish this!!

I also added a little nose to my monkey.

Feeling Lucky

Hey there crafty friends!!

I hope you all are a lot warmer than I am!  It's 15 below here this morning!  I sure hope spring makes its way here soon!

I've got a new project to share with you today!  

Right now I am working 2 jobs and about 80hrs/week so I need to make the most of the crafting time I can squeak in!!!  Did you know that Marjorie Ann Designs provides you w/ clipart files with her designs!!!  This is so awesome because I can use the print and cut feature on my cameo and still make a really cute project!  This one happens to be going to my friend at a nursing home to cover her tissue box.  I'm thinking you will be seeing lots of these from me for the different holidays and seasons!!  It was so much fun to do and so easy to dress up with some Jaded Blossom products!!

Back to the regular grind after a nice long weekend! I was so happy to get some crafting time in.

Hey there crafty friends.

Its been a nice 3 day weekend and yesterday I spent the whole day crafting which doesn't get to happen very often!

SVG Cutting Files is having their monthly challenge and this month's theme is spring!

I'm kind of wondering if we are ever going to see spring up here in the Northeast...but it's sure nice to think about it!!  Here is my entry or the challenge.

I used the Kawaii buttlerfly bag/box but I chose not to use the handle on it.

I embellished my project with lots of goodies from Jaded Blossom,

a butterfly from the Spring dies 2, the sign from the Fall Dies, a sentiment from the Spring Signs stamp set and some sprinkles and paper I got from the Fun Extras section of the store!

I have some exciting news to share today!

I've been chosen to be a member of the first design team at Marjorie Ann Designs.

I'm grateful for the opportunity and hope to bring to all of you some inspiring projects!  Life has been so busy lately and I haven't had a lot of time to create the past few months.  I'm hoping to be able to incorporate some of my projects w/ my other obligations!!

Since we are in the middle of a snow storm right now and I'm dreaming of spring I thought it would be fun to do an Easter card!!!

I took one of the chicks from the Easter Tweets file and made it into a shaped card!  I used some pop dots on the chicks "hand" and that is what helps to keep the flap of the card closed.

The sentiment on the inside is from Jaded Blossom's Springtime Greetings stamp set.

Last Minute Valentine's Day projects!

Valentine's Treats!

Hey There crafty friends!!!

Today I got to spend a fun afternoon crafting with a very special friend!

She lives in a long term care facility and loves to be able to give little treats to the staff and other residents, so today we made up some Valentine goodies.  

I can't begin to tell you what an impact this woman has made on my life since I met her about 5 years ago!  She is just a year younger than I am and has become like a sister to me.  The struggles she has been through in her life help me to keep my life in perspective and remind me that even though sometimes life deals you some hard blows...there is always someone else close by that probably has it far worse than you.  

The past year has not been the kindest to me and has really put quite a damper on my crafting time.  In fact earlier this year when things didn't turn out quite as I wanted them to, I almost gave up on crafting all together.  I soon realized that "playing" with paper and creating cute "stuff" brought too much joy to my life and I couldn't possibly leave it behind.  Not to mention it seemed rather trivial of me to get so down in the dumps over crafting when Angela had to give up her independence right about the same time and had to make the decision to go into long term care.  She is truely an inspiration and captures the hearts of everyone she meets!!!  I am very lucky to have her in my life!!

Jaded Blossom challenge entry

Hey there crafty friends!

Can you believe it's February already.....I'm so ready for spring.  We have gotten pounded with almost 4 feet of snow in the last 10 days...with more on the way in the next coming days.  Enough already!

Since its a new month, its also time or a new challenge over at Jaded Blossom.

This month's challenge is Valentine Treats.

I made this cute little treat bag using the Goody Bag Die.  Its the perfect size for a few little Valentine treats!

The stamp sentiment is from Cheesy Pick ups 3 and its stamped on one of the candy wrap dies, which I shortened up to better fit the size of the sentiment.  It was my first time doing this....it didn't come out perfectly but I didn't think too badly.

The cute little tiger is from My Scrap Chick!  I just love that he has a backside!
