Monster Mash

Happy Hump Day everyone!  Can you believe that September is almost over??  It's getting quite chilly up here in the northeast.  I'm trying to hold off turning on the heat until Oct. 1st.  Hopefully we can make it!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using the Monster Bash file from SVG cutting files.  I embossed the panel for the card with the Mini Monster cuttlebug folder.  Stamp sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Too Cute to Spook , the banner die from Candy Charms and Banners and a little bit of Trendy Twine for the balloon strings.  The face stamps on the balloons are from Peachy Keen Stamps.

This month we can submit 2 projects for the Boys and their Toys challenge over at SVG cutting files.  I am using a file we got free for submitting our first project for the challenge.  I've turned it into a shaped card.  Sentiment on the front of the card is from Jaded Blossom's Super Hero Stamp set and the one on the inside from Puppy Love.

Just Hatched

About a month ago I finally challenged myself to start my son's baby book.  He's 21 years old so this was well before the age of digital photography!!! I do have all his pictures in regular photo albums so they are organized.  I am going to make myself a traditional scrapbook and for him I would like to do digital.  I've already done the work of scanning and fixing as much as I could of the original photos.  I didn't have a very nice camera back then so the picture quality is not that great.  But I've decided I would make the best of it.  I already had in mind what I wanted to do with the first set of pictures and Little Scraps of Heaven sketch challenge fit my idea perfectly...I just had to make it into a 2-page spread..  I used the Just Hatched collection for the majority of the project and the little froggy peeking out from behind the block came from the Pumpkin stand file.

Jaded Blossom Gift Card Challenge

YUM!!!
Here is my entry for the Jaded Blossom Gift Card challenge.  I used the brand new Gift Card die...which I just LUV!!!.  The stamp sentiment is from Puppy Love and the Burger SVG file from SVG Cutting Files.  The Burger is actually a slider card but I modified it into a regular card so I could fit the die onto it.  I really liked the way it turned out!!!!  The hardest part about this challenge...walking into Five guys and walking out with only this gift card!!!!  The fact that it was lunch time and my tummy was rumbling made it all the worse!!!  My waistline was proud of me :)

If the Boot Fits......

If the Boot Fits.....

So one of the many benefits to working from home is that when you actually get to take a lunch hour...you are at home!  For me that mean I'm in my craft room!!!  Today I'm very impatiently waiting for my new stamps from Jaded Blossom to arrive and really wanting to create something!  SVG Cutting files released a Witch's Shoe Tube Holder and I was itching to make it....so I did!!!

I used the Halloween Kisses stamps from last year and the Candy, charms and Banners die set and the Flag Die.  I also added some Grape Licorice Trendy Twine!  The "If the boot fits sentiment" I just printed from my computer.   Stay tuned, as by the end of the weekend I'm hoping to have a lot more to share!!!!

My Scrap Chick Design Team Call

My Scrap Chick Designer Call

I saw today that My Scrap Chick is having a Design Team call and I'm so excited!!!!  My Scrap Chick is one of my favorite SVG files companies. I think I have almost every single one of their files.
My poor Cameo sat on my desk for over a year because I was afraid to use it.  I had all kinds of files that I had purchased but just couldn't bring myself to turn on the machine and give it a try!  Then one day My Scrap Chick introduced a train file.  It looked like Thomas the Train which was my now 21 years olds son favorite toy!!!!  I knew I had to make it!!!  I did just that and haven't stopped cutting and creating ever since!  It's so much fun!

My favorite things to create are 3D projects...usually filled with some kind of candy treats!!!!  I have also been doing some cards and scrapbook layouts as of late.  I love working w/ animal and holiday files! I'm anxious to be working on my first Halloween and Christmas items.

I'm sure there will be a long list of talented people applying for this design team.  I would feel honored to be able to represent My Scrap Chick!

LSHD Challenge

Nutsy!
This is a layout that I did for the LSHD Challenge.  The challenge was to "scraplift" one the DT members layouts that they did from one of their favorite sketches.  I chose the one by DT member Mindy.  I used the file Feeling Squirrelly.

The picture is of a baby squirrel we had hanging around for a couple of days.  I named it Nutsy.
